Attorney Renee C. Bauer was born and raised in the surrounding areas of Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to devoting her career to the legal profession, Attorney Bauer worked for Public Strategies, Inc. as a media and political consultant to SNET/SBC Communications. She also worked as a legislative advocate in Hartford, Connecticut; work which sparked her interest and dedication to the law.

In 1998, she served as the Assistant Finance Director for former Massachusetts State Representative Marjorie Clapprood's Congressional campaign in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2001, Attorney Bauer was elected as a delegate for the Massachusetts Democratic Political Convention. 

Attorney Bauer attended Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts and undergraduate college at the University of Connecticut. While attending the University of Connecticut, Attorney Bauer was active in the Connecticut Public Interest Research Group where she was elected as legislative liaison for the state of Connecticut.

Attorney Bauer authored the book The Ultimate Guide to Solo and Small Firm Success, LawFirst Publishing 2009. She also contributed articles to various industry publications such as The Connecticut Lawyer, The Sidebar published by the New Lawyers Division of the American Association for Justice, and the Women Trial Lawyers Caucus Newsletter of the American Association for Justice. Attorney Bauer presents continuing legal education seminars on the topic of opening and managing solo and small law firms.

Attorney Bauer was highlighted by the Connecticut Law Tribune in a Special Section entitled Women in the Law in their September, 2010 publication. Furthermore, Super Lawyers publication selected Attorney Bauer as a 2010 New England Rising Star.
She is currently a member of the New Haven County Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association (Family Law Section). Since 2004, Attorney Bauer has provided pro bono services to clients through the Connecticut Pro Bono Network.
She is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
